Essentially, you take your favorite chili recipe and add coffee. Coffee bring some interesting flavors and adds depth.
My chili is pretty basic (and sort of devoid of quantities):
Some minced garlic
A pinch each of cumin, paprika and chili powder
A tiny splash of hot sauce
1 C coffee (I used VIA Italian roast)
1. Brown ground beef
2. Add spices, garlic and onion, cook for about 10 min
3. Add coffee and hot sauce and let it simmer for as long as you have patience for, but usually at least an hour.
To serve, top it off with cheese, sour cream or avocado and cilantro.
